Looking for a new home in World Golf Village but think that there aren't any? Well, all you have to do is wait a few months and you'll have a variety of options to choose from. The Northeast Florida golf community is extremely pleased to announce new construction in four of their neighborhoods. These new homes range from active adult, low maintenance homes to luxury custom estates on the King & Bear golf course.

Let's begin with the two new luxury custom homes in St. Augustine to be built at the Crest. The Crest is one of the exclusive neighborhoods of the Estates with homes priced from the $600's. These generous homesites are decorated with ancient oak trees and tall pines, plus many offer beautiful views of the King & Bear golf course.

Also under construction in 2010 is a new spec home in GroveWood priced in the mid $300's. Being built by Providence Homes, the 2,559 square foot home will feature four bedrooms with three and one-half baths. The home is perfect for any growing family wanting to live at World Golf Village.

Of course, Legacy Builders is currently working on four new buildings in Laterra Links. We broke this news earlier, but to sum it up again each building will feature three upscale coach homes for a total of 12 new units at Laterra Links by the end of 2010. The first building is expected to be completed as early as July.

And finally, we are extremely excited to announce that the Cascades is under new ownership of Dockstreet Communities. The Cascades is the active adult community withing World Golf Village. Dockstreet will be breaking ground on six new model by the end of the month!

There is so much going on at World Golf Village, which is kind of a rarity in the current housing market. Be sure to stop by and take a look next time you are in the area, and let 2010 be the year you finally buy a golf home in St. Augustine.

Steve and Gail Archer are extremely excited to have finally moved into their home at the Cascades in the master-planned development World Golf Village. The Cascades is an active adult neighborhood within the Northeast Florida golf community that features homes priced from the $300,000s. Upon touring the community, the Archers immediately knew it was the perfect choice for their retirement home.

With lawn maintenance covered by the homeowner's association, the Archers are free to spend their days taking advantage of the wonderful amenities the Cascades offers. Not only do residents have access to the two exceptional golf courses and community village, but the Cascades has their own unique amenities including at 22,000 square foot clubhouse, indoor and outdoor pools with spa, tennis and bocce ball. Inside the clubhouse are a myriad of ping pong tables, billiard rooms and other areas for residents to socialize and relax.

The Archers' home is 2,000 square feet with two bedrooms, two baths and a den converted into a third bedroom. The spacious home, decorated in an eclectic Florida style with yellows, golds, palm trees and other live plants, offers an open floorplan with a great room, dining room, eat-in kitchen, laundry room, lanai and two-car garage. The couple installed an eco-friendly solar tube in the kitchen, which provides lots of natural sunlight, and low-e glass windows, which offer insulation against heat and cold. Situated on a nature preserve, the Archers enjoy a beautiful view from the back of the home.
